I did some research this week and asked a few females what they thought was lacking in a lot of men and for some reason they all said the same thing....The gentleman is dead!!! What really threw me was the fact that out the 10 females I talked to on separate occasion's they all had the same answer. The gentleman.....dead? The gentleman isn't dead, but possibly an endangered species, a forgotten classic, among the wreckless rhyme's of the music industry, nonsense on T.V., and lack of appreciation in society. I think many of us guys have forgotten how much the gentleman is really appreciated, I partly think this has to do with many women not knowing what a gentleman is. He's not dead you just don't see him, because you equate it to some cheap advance at you. Well this is a species survival plan to bring the gentleman back from the brink of extinction.
When your walking in a building and a woman is near, open the door for her, whether she's coming or going or if you know her or not. It doesn't take much time or energy an goes a long way. When at an entrance to a walkway, let her go first. At the car open her door to let her in and out. Remember being a gentleman should not be unexpected or out of the norm, it is the standard. And ladies don't forget it takes nothing to show your appreciation, a thank you is ALWAYS welcome...............Let's bring the gentleman back*
The gentelman is definitely an endangered species! Guys don't know how to act these days and women don't know how to treat the few good ones that are left.
ReplyDeleteYou are SO right homie! I find myself guilty of this. I'll look over and Carla is out the car so FAST! Sometimes, i'm putting my butt in the seat and she's JUST opening her door. Now I will admit, I do feel EXTREMELY embarrassed when I reflect on it because C's my Queen, and she shouldn't have to do those things!
ReplyDeleteIn my defense, i've interacted with SO MANY female that scream that "INDEPENDENT" shit, that most of my chivalry is dead. Yeah, I'll turn it on in public, but for the most part i'll forget. Am I selfish? Wanna be seen first? I dunno, but I promise you Khronicler, i'm working on it in attempts to aid you in "Bringing the Gentleman Back!" Good shit homie!
im glad you touched on that because just last night a woman told me she felt chivalry had died b/c of this independant woman thing, an she thought that was BS
ReplyDeleteNo chivalry is not dead and it is GREATLY appreciated. But it is very scarce.
ReplyDeleteOne time I was on the bus and this little old lady got on the bus. Not one of the loser men on the bus would get up and give her thier seat. So I got up so the lady could sit down. IT was ridiculous!!! And as far as guys holding doors open and stuff like that, us women definitely notice it. Another thing I think that guys need to remember is chivalry should be done for all females just out of general respect. Don't just hold the door open for the girl you think is cute and let it slam in the face of the less attractive girl behind her! I've seen that happen before ;o)
